2015 Board of Directors

Hope Williams

2015 Board President

Hope is a Health and Wellness Specialist who is also a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator and Certified Lactation Specialist at Ministry Medical Group in Rhinelander. She first heard about Girls on the Run through a co-worker whose daughter was participating in the program. The co-worker told her how much her daughter had enjoyed GOTR and what a difference it had made in her self-confidence and self-esteem. Hope shares with us: “There are so few programs that focus on self esteem and positive body image-as soon as I googled GOTR I knew this was something that I wanted to be a part of. My step-daughter was in the grade 3-5 at the time and I wished this was offered in Rhinelander where I live. We are in the planning stages of bringing GOTR to Rhinelander in 2016.

This year will be the second year that I have attended the GOTR Northwoods 5 K. “I have yet to run a 5K-I have ran/ walked several and hope this year will be my first. I believe prevention is very important and GOTR is a great way to introduce that exercise can be fun and help the future generation to develop healthy habits for a lifetime.”

Adriane Morabito

Program Coordinator

As a former collegiate rugby player, wildland firefighter and more recently an environmental educator and tutor for 3rd – 5th graders, she understand the importance of fostering self-confidence, self-esteem, joy and healthy lifestyles in young girls. Girls on the Run works to do just that.  As a tutor, she spent the majority of her time addressing the real needs of her students, and worked with many students on boosting their self-confidence and incorporating fun calisthenics in between math problems! She is thrilled that this program is available for  local girls here in northern WI and that she has the opportunity to work as the Program Coordinator.
